Orthognatic Surgery
A procedure that interferes the position of the lower and upper jaw which help the position of the teeth, also known as jaw surgery. This surgery address eating and speaking problems, on top of aesthetic concerns.
The patients, whose lower/upper jaw is ahead or behind projected, have misalignment of jaws and teeth.
In this case, optimum alignment of jaws and teeth is determined with the help of cepholometric measurements to solve this problem. The plastic surgeon performs orthognatic surgery to adjust the jaw projection. Oral surgeon applies braces to adjust the teeth location after the new position of the jaw.
