Hair Transplant

Hair transplant is a procedure that removes hair follicles from one part of the head to a bald or balding part of the head under local anesthesia. The technique is used to treat both male and female patients. A satisfying result can be attained with hair transplantation treatment.

Hair transplant is especially popular among male patients and it is frequently performed in Istanbul, Turkey. There are two surgical techniques by which hair can be removed from one area to the another; FUT which stands for Follicular Unit Transplantation and FUE which stands for Follicular Unit Extraction.
In the past, the technique called FUT was used in hair transplant in which a thin strip of hair is removed from the donor area. But currently, FUE technique is very popular due to its satisfied results in which each hair graft is removed from the donor area one by one, using a punch tool. Hair transplant is performed under local anesthesia. The treatment lasts an average of 5-6 hours, depending on the size of the bald area. With the help of medication, it is painless treatment. In the same session, 5.000-6.000 grafts can be transported. With having two sessions, 10.000 grafts can be transported to the patient. Transported grafts will be gone after 3 months and the hair will star to regrow. 6 months after the procedure, the hair will be completely seen on the balding area. Natural looking hair can be achieved and there will be no hair loss on this are afterwards.
The direction of the hair growth is analyzed before the hair transplantand the grafts are placed in-line with this detailed analysis. In this way, natural looking hair is attained.
