Prof. Dr. Suleyman TAS, is a World renowned Plastic Surgeon, has more than 50 International Scientific Publication, organized 5+ Live Surgery Rhinoplasty Course, published “Rhinoplasty in Practice : An Algorithmic Approach to Modern Surgical Techniques” book which enables the reader, regardless of their experience, to master the best rhinoplasty practice, wrote 2 Book Chapter about Facial Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery, won 5+ Best Plastic Surgeon Awards, has been in news with his challenging surgeries as Total Facial Reconstruction, Arm Replantation, Foot Replantation, etc. and has been invited to more than 100 congresses as a speaker and faculty, has so many patented instruments, and has European and Turkish Board Certification of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. TAS has dedicated himself to improve the science, art, aesthetic and his patients. Dr. TAS has performed over 500 aesthetic procedures in a year over 15 years.

Currently, Dr. TAS practices in his private clinic based in Istanbul, Turkey.

Prof. Dr. Suleyman TAS is a European Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Turkey, with global experience of plastic surgery. He is one of the most innovative and famous plastic surgeons in Turkey. His philosophy is beautiful but natural look with “Address of the Natural Beauty®” motto.

Prof. Dr. Suleyman TAS has adopted the principle of success. When he was in high school, he attained 3rd place in the Physics Olympics of TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). Later he showed very successful performance in University Entrance Examinations and started to study in the Medical Faculty of Istanbul University (ÇAPA). After graduating from the University, he achieved to get Doctor of Medicine title.

Dr. TAS, who wants to realize his dream of being a Plastic Surgeon, started his speciality at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine of Trakya University. He has succeeded many surgery and left many legacies here.

Dr. TAS went to Belgium as a fellow to get international experience. He performed many surgeries about aesthetic surgery, mammoplasty, microsurgery and gender reassignment surgeries at Gent University, Coupure Centrum, and St. Lucas Ziekenhuis Hospital.

Dr. TAS completed his specialisation in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery after submitting his thesis in the field of microsurgery which is named “The Effects of Using Single and Combined Cycporin-A and Deferoxamin in Secondary Venous Ischemic Model in Rats on Ischemic Injury”.

Dr. TAS was awarded and selected as best surgeon by Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association to create a new technique for prominent ear surgery that eliminates problems like relapse and suture extrusion which is named “A New Technique of Antihelixplasty: Proximal Based Dermo-Facioperichondral Flap”.

Dr. TAS was qualified as a fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) and was rewarded with the Europe quality recognition after successfully passing 2 steps examinations in Thessaloniki and Brussels.

Dr. Suleyman TAS made big contributions to the translation of 2 books on Facial Rejuvenation and Microsurgery (Facial Plastic Surgery: The Essential Guide. Chapter 6: Anti-Aging and Atlas of Microvascular Surgery: Anatomy and Operative Techniques. Section VI: Thighs).

Dr. TAS applied a new technique on gender reassignment surgeries for the first time in Turkey and his name was referred many times on media with major surgeries. Dr. TAS understands the importance of learning and creating new practices which is why he has strived to continue traveling the world. Dr. TAS has many scientific articles in the global and local magazines. He has many speeches in congresses and he takes chairman responsibility for many congresses. Additionally, Dr. TAS is a referee for “Aesthetic Plastic Surgery” journal which is a publication of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the official journal of the European Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (EASAPS) and he is an editor for “Plastic and Aesthetic Research” international journal.

Dr. TAS continued his career as a specialist doctor in the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery department at Rize Training and Research Hospital where he performed very challenging and major operations like finger, leg & arm reconstructions, breast remaking to cancer patients with their own tissues, facial reconstructions with their own tissues for severe burns that require advanced microsurgery experience. Dr. TAS took place many times at the press with those successful operation results.

Dr. TAS has worked and succeeded many surgeries in Medical Park International Hospitals, Istanbul.

Dr. Suleyman TAS was selected “National Delegate” to represent Turkey by the European Plastic Surgery Research Council.

Dr. Suleyman TAS won best presentation prize (“Luca Ortelli” Video Award) during Fifth Bergamo Rhinoplasty Congress in Italy with “Management of the open roof after hump removal without osteotomy in narrow bony vault” work which is organized by World Rhinoplasty Society and from a competition of 400 surgeons from 52 different countries. This study has been published as the original article in PRS Journal, one of the most prestigious of plastic surgery.

Dr. TAS worked in Istanbul Kemerburgaz University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery as Assistant Professor Doctor and Clinic Officer.

Dr. Suleyman TAS won the first prize with the surgical technique to correct curved noses which is named “Nasal Base Retraction: A Treatment Algorithm” in the Expert Research Contest (38th National TRPCD Convention), organized by Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. Also, his work has been published in “Annals of Plastic Surgery”, one of the most prestigious plastic surgery journals in the USA, and the algorithm developed by Dr. TAS is published in the “Aesthetic Surgery Journal”. This technique was registed to the medical literature.

Dr. TAS found TAS Aesthetic Surgery Clinic and started to work on clinical and scientific practices in his private clinic.

Dr. Suleyman TAS won the best presentation award, in the competition organized by European Rhinoplasty Society in Italy with “Superior based transposition flap: a novel technique in rhinoplasty” (Rhinoplasty Society of Europe Annual Congress – Best Presentation Award).

Dr. Suleyman TAS won the first prize in the Expert Research Competition organized by the Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery with the technique developed for nose tip aesthetics (40th National TRPCD Congress, Expert Research Competition – First Prize). The award came behind “A New Technique in Rhinoplasty: Superior Based Transposition Flab”. This work has been published as the original article in “Aesthetic Surgery Journal”, one of the most prestigious plastic surgery journals in the USA. This technique is describing how to protect the scroll ligament, which is a very important structure to ensure nose tip flexibility and prevent dropped nose tip. Also, this technique was registered to the medical literature in.

Prof. Dr. Suleyman TAS acted as an Expert Witness in the Plastic Surgery in Istanbul and other regional courts and took part in the evaluation of hundreds of files.

Dr. Suleyman TAS is a member of Turkish and European Plastic Surgery Associations, owns 50 international medical articles, 100 international and national speeches, 3 Patents, 5 Awards (3 National First Prize, 2 International First Prize). Dr. Suleyman TAS is an internationally recognized surgeon who has developed his own rhinoplasty surgical set and techniques. Prof. Dr. Suleyman TAS works for his patients’ happiness with a team that is conscientious to serve at the highest level at his private clinic.
